Check Before You Pay

Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly do you check?

Company registration, regulatory records, the people and addresses behind the business, domain and website history, and public warnings or complaints.

Can you check a cryptocurrency exchange before I deposit money?

Yes. We'll research who actually runs it, where it's registered, whether it holds any licences it claims to, and what its track record looks like — including public complaints and warnings — before you send it a deposit.

Can you check a recovery company that says it can get my crypto back?

Yes — this is one of the most common checks we do. We'll look at who's behind the company, how they claim to work, their reviews and complaint history, and whether their story about your case holds up. Most "guaranteed recovery" claims don't survive this kind of scrutiny.

Can you check whether an investment company is regulated?

We check what regulatory status a company claims and cross-reference it against public regulator registers where they exist. If a claimed licence doesn't show up on the regulator's own records, that's exactly the kind of thing we flag in your report.

How long does a check take?

Most reports are delivered within a few days of payment. Some cases move faster; others take a little longer, particularly when we're waiting on a response from a regulator or authority.

Is the $60 really the only cost?

Yes. One flat fee, paid once. No add-ons, no hidden charges, no surprise fees later.

What are the Pressure Tests in my report?

A set of practical, specific questions and simple checks we give you to put directly to the platform yourself. You're their client, so they'll respond to you when they wouldn't respond to us — and how they answer often tells you as much as what they say.

What if you can't find enough information?

We'll tell you plainly what we couldn't verify — and why that itself might be a red flag.

Do you tell me whether to invest or not?

No. We're not financial advisors, and we don't give investment advice. We give you the facts; the decision is always yours.

What if the company turns out to be legitimate?

Then you'll have a documented report confirming that, giving you real peace of mind before you pay.

What happens to the information I send you?

We use it only to answer your enquiry and complete your check. Enquiries pass through our Cloudflare-hosted server and are sent to us by email through EmailJS, with Cloudflare Turnstile used to block bots. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what is collected and who handles it.

Can you check any company, anywhere?

We cross-check against public regulatory registers and lists in the US, UK, Australia and the EU, along with company registration records more broadly. Coverage varies by country, so we're upfront in every report about what could and couldn't be verified.

What information do you need from me?

Just the company or website name, and what you're considering — an investment platform, exchange, broker, or recovery company. Any extra information you can share — how you found them, screenshots, prior correspondence — helps build a clearer picture of the kind of company you're dealing with. If there's something you're not comfortable sharing, that's fine — just give us everything else you're comfortable with.

How do I pay?

Bank transfer, Wise Bank (multi-currency, international payments), or PayPal. We deliberately don't accept cryptocurrency — mainstream payment methods leave a paper trail, and crypto doesn't. That trail protects you.

What if I've already paid a company and now I'm worried?

The same $60 investigation applies. We'll independently research the company, tell you exactly what we can verify about it, give you a realistic read on whether recovery is likely, and set out sensible next steps — including stopping further payments and who to report it to. We don't recover funds ourselves and we don't act as legal representatives; the research, the facts, and the assessment are what we provide.
